When you gather a group of passionate individuals who are used to running boardrooms, making decisions that move markets, and leading companies across diverse industries—what happens when they put on jerseys, lace up their boots, and step onto the pitch? You get Bosses United Singapore: a football team that proves success isn’t confined to office walls—it can also be built on grass, sweat, and shared dreams.
Established in 2022 by members of the Bosses Network Young Chapter (BNYC), Bosses United Singapore, was never about forming just another amateur social team. “The original vision was simple yet ambitious,” says Mr Albert Ng, the team’s spokesperson. “We wanted to give business owners a chance to come together regularly—not just to network, but to pursue a common goal… quite literally. Through football, we bond, support each other’s businesses, and try to give back to the community too.”
Over the past few years, the team has grown in both strength and unity. Backed by respected coaches—including Singapore legend Fandi Ahmad and former national player Samawira Basri—the team has steadily evolved into a structured and disciplined side. Today, Bosses United Singapore trains with consistency and passion every Thursday evening in the central region of Singapore, no matter the weather or the week’s workload.

“People often assume that as business owners, we’re too busy for this,” Albert shares. “But you’ll be surprised. Week after week, our members make time. Rain or shine, tired or not, most of us show up for training without fail. That level of commitment is what sets this team apart.”
That discipline has paid off. Observers who have followed the team over the past few years often comment on how far they’ve come. From casual kickabouts to playing organized, competitive football, Bosses United Singapore has improved tremendously—not just in tactics and fitness, but in chemistry and mutual understanding on the pitch.
The team is made up of a vibrant mix of entrepreneurs, each bringing their own character and experience to the field. Among them is Ian Ketsumasa, who runs a creative marketing agency that helps brands expand into Paris and Tokyo. “I’ve loved football since I was young,” Ian shares. “This team gave me my first opportunity to be coached properly. We may be from different industries, but when we’re on the pitch, we’re just players chasing the same dream.”

The journey so far has been nothing short of memorable. The team has shared the pitch with former Singapore greats like Abbas Saad, and even had the rare opportunity to meet international star Keisuke Honda. In 2023, they travelled to Bangkok for a friendly tour, and in April 2025, they did Hong Kong.
Mr Yang Ying of AMK Nonya Kueh fondly recalls that Bangkok trip: “Even though I was sick the whole time, it was one of the most unforgettable experiences. The bus rides, the banter, the late-night suppers—it wasn’t just football; it was family. I haven’t missed a training session since.”
Mr Sanee Neo from Mascot Enterprise echoes the sentiment: “This isn’t just a team—it’s a brotherhood built on passion, resilience, and the drive to push one another further. Every match is a challenge. Every goal is shared glory. Every loss is a lesson. We fight together, grow together, and win together.”
For Mr Alvin Say, COO of JPpepperdine Group, the team represents something unique in the business world. “Combining social soccer with meaningful networking—this concept is brilliant. We’re not just supporting each other on the field but off it too, through our businesses. The dream is to grow the visibility of the team, welcome more like-minded individuals, and eventually extend our camaraderie into initiatives that give back to society.”
One of the younger players, Mr Chew Wei Jian from Gold Plus Construction, has found in this team more than just football. “The older players guide us not only in the game but in life and business. We train hard, we sweat it out, and at the same time, we’re learning so much about resilience and leadership. It’s also a great way to stay fit, especially as we get older,” he jokes.

Looking ahead, Bosses United Singapore remains committed to its mission: providing a meaningful platform for business leaders to stay active, form genuine friendships, share knowledge, and make a positive impact beyond the field. Whether it’s on the pitch or in the boardroom, the values they uphold—dedication, discipline, and unity—remain the same.
For any aspiring or young business owners who’ve always wanted to be part of something greater than themselves, this is your chance. Bosses United Singapore welcomes new members to join their weekly sessions, experience professional-level training, and become part of a growing family that believes football is more than a game—it’s a way to connect, to grow, and to give back.
Because at the end of the day, Bosses United Singapore isn’t just a football team. It’s a vision. It’s a movement. It’s a team with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of soul.
