Bosses United Singapore Signs MOU with Hong Kong HKAFA, Expanding Beyond Football

Bosses United Singapore has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hong Kong Amateur Football Association (HKAFA), marking a new phase of collaboration between Singapore and Hong Kong — not just in football, but in entrepreneurship and community building.

While the agreement sits within a football framework, its intention goes further. This partnership connects like-minded business owners, professionals, and leaders from both cities who share a common belief — that sport can be a powerful platform for long-term collaboration.

On the football side, the MOU provides a pathway for cross-border fixtures and player exposure between Singapore and Hong Kong. It allows athletes to compete beyond their domestic environment and experience different football cultures within Asia.

But the bigger picture lies off the pitch.

Bosses United Singapore has always positioned itself as more than a team. It is a platform where entrepreneurs compete together, build trust, and create business opportunities. Through this collaboration, members from Singapore and Hong Kong can connect through structured football activities, leadership dialogues, company visits, and exchange programmes designed to turn relationships into real partnerships.

During the signing ceremony, Bosses United founder Albert Ng emphasised that the initiative is built on deeper values shared by both cities.

“The relationship between Singapore and Hong Kong has always been built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared entrepreneurial spirit. Both cities are global business hubs driven by innovation, resilience, and excellence. Today, we celebrate more than just an event. We celebrate partnership.”

He added that football may be the starting point, but it is not the end goal.

“Football is a universal language. It breaks barriers and builds friendships. But while football brings us together on the field, it is what we do off the field that defines the strength of our partnerships. Sport is the medium — business collaboration is the mission.”

Ng highlighted that meaningful collaboration requires more than friendly matches or networking sessions. He stressed the importance of company visits, leadership conversations, and structured exchanges between businesses in both cities.

“When we step into each other’s offices, understand each other’s operations, and exchange ideas face-to-face, we transform connections into concrete opportunities. Partnerships are not built in a day. They are built through continuous engagement and shared growth.”

For HKAFA, the partnership offers access to Singapore’s growing football-business ecosystem in Southeast Asia. For Bosses United, it strengthens links into Hong Kong’s entrepreneurial and football network, creating a broader regional platform for members on both sides.

Singapore and Hong Kong share similar DNA — compact, commercially driven cities with strong international outlooks. This MOU reflects a shared belief that progress comes from collaboration, not isolation.

The document has been signed. The foundation has been laid.

As Albert Ng concluded in his address, this initiative should serve “as a foundation — not a conclusion,” marking the beginning of deeper cooperation and stronger bridges between the two business communities.

This is not just about football.
It is about building lasting partnerships — through sport, through dialogue, and through action.
