To put on a strong performance to outclass a Malaysian team at Bukit Jalil, let alone in a Malaysia FA Cup Final is never an easy task. LionsXII did just that an hour ago by beating Kelantan 3-1 to lift its first ever silverware – Malaysia FA Cup.
This much needed victory couldn’t have come at a better timing. The hard-fought victory at Bukit Jalil has once again proven one thing, which is Singapore can play football and it’s not impossible for the boys to do well and win something not only for themselves, but also for Singapore football fans.
In about a week’s time, all attentions will be on Coach Aide Iskandar’s Young Lions battling out in the tournament. Hopefully, all the Young Lions could be inspired and motivated by this Malaysia FA Cup victory and do well in the upcoming 28th SEA Games.
As a host nation, we really hope that all Singapore football fans would turn up at the Stadiums to give the Young Lions their utmost supports. And as for the players themselves, please continue to ride on this Malaysia FA Cup success and play with Pride!
