After Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia, the 2018 edition of the SingaCup Football Experience (SFE) has seen the Beautiful Game being brought over to Bandung, Indonesia. Collaborating with one of the best supported, if not the best supported club, Persib Bandung, more than 130 children benefited from this great initiative.
The 2 days programme was spearheaded by Singapore football coach Philippe Aw and assisted by 10 youth football coaches from Persib Academy. Despite it was only a 2 days programme, the neatly packed itinerary saw all the children underwent English language lessons and football trainings at Progresif Sports Centre.
In additional, all the children had the opportunity to observe Persib Bandung first team training at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. Some of the children were even lucky to be selected as part of the marched in contingent on home team’s match day.
Although this the first time such a programme has been organized in Bandung together with the local football team, response from the local and the children were overwhelming. And as for the children, that have to be a wonderful experience. Once in a life time indeed.
